Tadashi leans against the garden shed with a sigh. Out of sight of Aiichirou and the aunts, he can finally let his guard down. Here, he can indulge his unsightly habit, one that he would rather not have to explain to anyone.
“I didn't know you smoked, Tadashi.” When he looks up to see Ainosuke standing there in his uniform, any relief he feels is quickly undone. The cigarette goes tumbling from Tadashi's numb fingers and into the dirt.

Ainosuke awoke as the full moon was rising to find a grown naga pinning him to the bed. He was rather delighted by the sensation; after all, being in such compromising positions was one of his favourite activities.
"Good evening, Tadashi," Ainosuke greeted lazily.
The naga blinked at him slowly. There was something different in his countenance tonight. The deep green of his eyes was almost entirely consumed by black pupil; his breathing was coming in short, shallow pants; his cheekbones were flushed, an amazing feat for a cold-blooded creature.
"Ainosuke-sama," Tadashi answered in a sibilant whisper. Something in his voice tugged at Ainosuke like a siren’s croon, making his skin prickle with gooseflesh. He licked his lips. He could taste magic in the air — not the stuff of books and incantations, but something wild that came from the blood.
