Summary
Steve Harrington was just looking to at least scrape by at college, meet a few nice girls (or guys) and maybe make his parents proud. Hang out with his best friend, see the kids he used to babysit, attend a couple parties. The usual. He wasn't trying to make some maniac rockstar obsessed with him, it just happened.
It would be cool to know when his life could go back to normal.

Summary
In the spring of 1983, Steve Harrington starts seeing and hearing things he shouldn’t.
A nail-studded bat and flashing lights. Children’s high, bickering voices. Lapping blue water, chlorine, and guilt. Moments from a life he hasn’t lived crash into him without warning, vivid enough to leave him shaking.
Steve might be losing his mind, but he's certain of one thing: Barbara Holland is going to die. Before the year is out, someone – or something – is going to murder her. So he does the only logical thing – he attempts to befriend her. It's easier to save someone if you're standing next to them, right?
Setting out to save Barb is supposed to make things make sense.
Instead, it causes Steve to question everything he thought he knew. The visions keep coming. And the more Steve tries to fix things, the more uncertain the world around him becomes. Especially when it comes to Eddie Munson – someone Steve can’t quite explain. Someone who feels different than he should, heavier somehow, as if the future itself is pulling Steve toward him. A gravity Steve is certain wasn't there before.

Eddie is a burnt-out-overworked-crash-and-burn-rockstar with a crippling twitter addiction. Steve is a chronically-offline-homegrown-indiana-boy-flowershop-owner with a green thumb and a penchant for taking in strays.
So naturally when Eddie first sees him, he's head over heels. And Steve has no clue what his day job is.
